When we opened our doors in 2010, we did so as an artisanal takeaway that does things slightly differently. Healthier takeaway food that tasted great but didn’t come with a side of guilt. We quickly became popular among locals in Cape Town’s Southern Suburbs, known for our delicious food made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients (and love), affordable pricing without cutting corners on quality, quick deliveries and a responsible approach to packaging and sustainability in the kitchens.

Today, Eat Out The Box’s menu reflects how mindful meal planning has crossed over into mindful takeout planning too. Our brand continues to develop with its community and caters to all budgets and diets.

We are open Tuesday to Sunday, 4pm – 9pm. Place your order online and select your delivery time in advance, or get your food delivered as soon as it is ready. No mess, no fuss. Supper sorted.

The Eatery Wood Fired Grill

Eat Out The Box is the sister outlet to The Eatery Wood Fired Grill in Claremont, another hands-on restaurant run by the same owners, Marius and Nicole Pieters. Established in 2014, this family restaurant centres around a wood-fired grill which what gives the meat its exceptional ‘braai’ flavour. The inspiration for their new menu is simply Smoke-Fire-Char, give them a try. Standard favourites include Grade A steaks and ribs, gourmet burgers, sandwiches and salads with regular seasonal specials. With the emphasis on the family experience here too, there is a kids’ play area and a great kids’ menu.

The Eatery Wood Fired Grill in Belvedere Square [Claremont] and Eat Out The Box in Wynberg [Constantia Main Road] both promise incredible food, value for money and the kind of attention to detail that only comes from being an owner-run establishment.
